THE POSITION: 

 

At STACK, the Director, Total Rewards & Shared Services will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and managing the organization's total rewards strategy and shared services programs. You will work closely with the People & Culture team, senior leadership, and external vendors to ensure the effective delivery of compensation, benefits, and other rewards initiatives. The goal of this role is to attract, retain, and engage talented employees by creating competitive and motivating total rewards programs that align with the company's overall objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Total Rewards Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive total rewards strategy that is competitive and supports the organization's business goals, values, and culture.
  • Compensation Management: Design and manage the organization's compensation programs, including job architecture, salary structures, incentive plans, and recognition programs. Conduct market research to ensure the competitiveness of compensation packages. Partner with VP, People & Culture on pay strategies and reviews.
  • Lead the annual salary review process, including budgeting, communication, and execution.
  • Benefits Administration: Oversee the design, implementation, and management of employee benefit programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Employee Engagement and Education: Develop initiatives to enhance employee understanding and appreciation of the total rewards offerings. Conduct training sessions or workshops to educate employees on various aspects of total rewards. Develop and execute communication plans to communicate with employees on total rewards policies, changes or updates.
  • Shared Services: Lead the HR shared services strategy aligned with business objectives involving process, technology and a culture of high-touch service delivery.
  • Responsible for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation, benefits, leaves of absence and employment practices.
  • Recognition and Rewards: Implement and manage employee recognition and rewards program that motivate and reward employees for their contributions.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies related to compensation and benefits. Prepare reports and dashboards on total rewards metrics, including compensation and benefits costs, market competitiveness, and employee satisfaction. Ensure total rewards programs comply with relevant employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and brokers to evaluate, select, and manage benefits providers and other relevant third-party services to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective total rewards programs. Negotiate contracts and review service agreements.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compensation Professional) are advantageous.
  • Certification: SHRM-CP, PHR, CCP or similar preferred
  • 7+ years working in HR, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership capacity
  • Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits principles, practices, regulations and market trends.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and leverage data to drive decision-making and program enhancements.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement total rewards programs that support business goals and objectives
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, develop creative solutions, and influence key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and compensation management systems. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modeling.
