Job Summary

EPIC is seeking an Employer Services Associate to support the expansion of a high-functioning Employer Services department within EPIC. The Employer Services team consults with employers to support them in defining and planning for child care solutions for their employees. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the team's activities, developing new systems, and supporting client engagement efforts, with 80% of the focus being internal-facing and 20% external-facing. The ideal candidate is ready to make things happen by rolling up their sleeves and contributing to the team’s success. They see what needs to be done and proactively work on it before being asked. They have an entrepreneurial mindset and the tenacity to see things through. They love setting up systems and creating repeatable processes. They will work closely with the Chief Impact Officer, Employer Engagement Directors, and other team members to ensure efficient operations and high-quality client experiences.

This role could have opportunities to evolve into a more client-facing role or work in other sectors given the highly transferrable skills that will be used and developed in this position.

 

Essential Job Functions

EPIC is in a growth phase and this role will vary over time; responsibilities will be determined and assigned by the Chief Impact Officer and will require adaptability. The current design of the role is as follows:

1. Systems Development for Team Impact (30%)

  • Partner with the operations team to maximize the use of current tools and processes; develop systems to enable all team members to bring their best work to our clients
  • Create templates, tools, and systems to enhance standardization and replicability across projects
  • Organize and manage digital file systems and improve and streamline knowledge management processes in collaboration with operations team
  • Plan and execute high-impact virtual Employer Services team meetings and other team communications, as needed

2. Client Experience and Business Development (30%)

  • Support client experience processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives with the goal of ensuring delighted clients
  • Assist with business development and prospective client research and support
  • Manage Employer Services engagement with NeonOne, EPIC’s CRM for client relationship management
  • Review and triage inbound Employer Child Care Navigator website communications and outreach from employers interested in EPIC services

3. Client Project Support (25%)

  • Assist with project management and tracking of team initiatives
  • Lead special projects to enhance team and client experience
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external use
  • Provide additional capacity to client engagements during peak times of team utilization

4. Communication and Website Management (15%)

  • Serve as Employer Services liaison to the communications team, partnering with the communications team to develop marketing materials
  • Manage and update Employer Child Care Navigator website content, as needed

 

Desired Attributes and Skills

Attributes & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, project management, or administrative roles developing and maintaining robust systems
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, resulting in high-quality work
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoys collaboration while being delighted with the opportunity to “take a first crack at things” independently
  • Proactive problem-solver with a "can-do" attitude and a growth mindset
  • Interest in early childhood education and passion for EPIC's mission

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, familiarity with Google Suite, Slack, and Asana
  • Comfort with technology and learning new tools
  • (Preferred) Familiarity with CRM systems (NeonOne experience a plus)
  • (Preferred) Familiarity with WordPress and WordPress Engine

 

Location

Flexible within the U.S., Denver Metro area preferred as the current EPIC team is all Denver-based

 

Working Environment

EPIC maintains an office space at 711 Park Avenue West in Denver. For Denver Metro-based employees, on-site work is expected approximately 1x per week with all other time flexible. Occasional travel and attendance at offsite work events may be required, as well as occasional work events on evenings and weekends. Our staff is a small, tight-knit team that is driven by a shared passion for achieving our mission and vision. We are highly adaptive, fun, flexible, collaborative, and always willing to "roll up our sleeves" to get work done.

 

Physical Demands

Work is typically performed within a home or commercial office environment, with occasional driving and travel to attend events and meet with partners across Colorado.
